Chair auditions are REQUIRED and to be completed before the start of each fall semester. The conductor of your respective group will place you based on performance of the chair audition. Once given they will not be changed for the entire season.

Am I required to submit a chair audition?
Yes. Chair placement auditions are a way for our conductors to learn about each musician and place them where they will be most beneficial to our orchestras.
What happens if I do not submit my chair audition?
You will be placed at the back of your section for the season.
When do I need to submit my chair auditions?
Chair auditions only need to be completed before the fall semester of each new season. Students who audition in the winter will be placed by the conductors at the back of the section.
If I audition for the Spring semester, do I need to submit a chair audition?
No, you only need to complete a chair audition before the Fall semester
